• Baima Snow Mountain Nature Reserve 

	In the Diqin Tibetan autonomous prefecture in northwest Yunnan , there are four famous nature reserves : the Bitahai , the Napahai , the Baima Snow Mountain and the Habaxueshan Mountain reserves . The are string together by the Yunnan Tibet highway . The Baima Snow Mountain Nature Reserve is situated on the central part of the Hengduan Mountains , on the slope of
	the section between the Baima Snow Mountain , the main peak of the northern part of Yunling Ranges , and the renzhi Snow  Mountain . It is between Deqen county of the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Markam County in Tibet . The Yunling Range is the watershed of the Lancangjiang River and the Jinsha River . The snow lines in the reserve are sll at levels higher than 4,000 meters with perennial snow . Well preserved primitive forests in large areas are found here . It is a comprehensive natural entity well preserved .
	It is a approved by the State Conucil as a national nature reserve . Highland oak birch , Yunnan pine , George's fir , snow-white rhododendron , vitchleaf sophora are the main plants in the reserve . there are many animal sorts in the reserve .  There are animals in 47 species in 19 families , the most famous protected monkey ,
	living in the rare and precious Yunnan golden monkey (Snub-nosed Monkey ) , living in the sub-high mountain dark pine coniferous tree forests . It is the monkey on the highest altitudes between 3,200 and 4,000 meters , Macaque , brown bear and red fox live also here .
	When you continue your journey northward , you will first see the Habaxueshan Mountain. Its main peak is 5,396 meters above the sea level . • Baishui Terrace 
  

  	The Baishui terrace is situated in Sanba Township  101 kilometers southeast of Zhongdian County seat . The terrace is 3 sq. kilometers in area . It is a karst formation of a layer of white deposits of calcium carbonate crystallized in spring water . It was also one of the places where the Dongba was originated . In Baidi village near the terrace one can still experience the old Naxi ethnic life-style .
