• Huangguoshu Waterfall
  
  

  	TheLocated in southwest of An Shun City, the Huangguoshu Scenic Spot includes more than ten aboveground and underground falls of different features. Among them Huangguoshu Watefall is most famous. Huangguoshu Waterfall, the biggest one in China and one of the famous ones in the world, is about two hundred and thirty feet long and two hundred and sixty six feet wide. Its water rushes down to a pond named Xiniu Pond (Xiniu Tan) with thunderous roars which can be heard in five kilometers away. During the flood season, the water rolls down to Xiniu Tan like ten thousand horses galloping and shakes the ground and the hill. The breakers send up a fountain of spray adding more mystiques to this place. All these will make you profoundly affected.
  	The scene of Huangguoshu Waterfall changes while you are standing in different places. One place is Waterfall-Viewing Pavilion (Guan Bao Ting), from which you can see the whole fall in distance. Next one is Water-Viewing Pavilion (Guan Shui Ting), where you take a bird's-eye view of it. The third one is Waterfall-Viewing Stage (Guan Bao Tai) beside Xiniu Tan, in which you raise your head to see the splendid scene. The best place is Little Moon Stage (Xiao Yue Tai) behind Water-Curtain Cave (Shui Lian Dong) where you could see it, touch it and enjoy it. Between nine o'clock to eleven o'clock every morning in clear days, you may see a rainbow, sometimes you may see two.
  	Since there are too many places to go in Anshun, you may want to stay for one or two days, then you can stay in Huangguoshu Hotel near the waterfall. Transportation: there are buses of special line sightseeing to Huangguoshu Waterfall and Dragon's Palace at Guiyang and Anshun railway stations. Admission: 30 (RMB), 10 more if you will go to Water-Curtain Cave.

• Dragon's Palace Scenic Spots
  
  
  

  	Located nearly twenty miles south-west of Anshun City, the Dragon's Palace Scenic Spot is one of the major scenic spot of state rank. It includes Youcai Lake (Youcai Hu), Yu Pond (Yu Tan), Dragon's Palace (Long Gong) and Ma Huang. The water of Yu Tan revolves deasil all year round. Standing beside may make you feel a little dizzy
  	The main spot, Dragon's Palace, is a splendid underground Karst cave. It looks like the crystal palace (which is a place where the king of dragons lives, who is called Long Wang) in fairy tales and so got the name Dragon's Palace (Long Gong). Sitting in a boat to go in the Palace and with lights on up on rock-walls, you could enjoy all kind of sceneries made of stalactites. It is so quiet all around except the sound made by oars that all you could think is the mysterious power of the nature. There are five caves altogether in Dagon's Palace but so far only one can be visited, which is shorter than half a mile.
  	The Heavenly Pool (Tian Chi) also known as Dragon's Pool (Long Tan), is the water source of Dragon's Palace. It covers over ten thousand square meters and has clear water with an average depth of one hundred and forty one feet. Its water flows down through a hole called Dragon's Gate (Long Men), thus form an underground waterfall, Dragon's Gate Fall (Long Men Pu Bu). The fall is about one hundred and eighty feet long with the width of eighty two feet and is said to be the longest in-cave one in China. It looks magnificent and even if you stand thirty feet away, your coat maybe splashed wet. Transportation: there are buses of special line sightseeing to Huangguoshu Waterfall and Dragon's Palace at Guiyang and Anshun railway stations. Admission: 50 (RMB) for a through ticket.
